There\'s no doubt the iconic Ford GT turns heads and sends shivers through your body at its every mention, so just imagine the excitement when 2 new special editions of the extraordinary racecar were revealed days ago.

Newly improved for 2020, the latest editions of the GT supercar enjoy increased horsepower levels of 660bhp - an additional 13bhp from the previous edition.

The Liquid Carbon edition looks exactly how it sounds it would - silky, sleek, strikingly good-looking. Ford has once again created the Ford GT in a breath-taking colourway, but this time without a drop of paint.

The result? A textured look and feel never seen before on the lightweight sculpted Ford GT, emphasising an otherworldy sentiment. It\'s intense without being overwhelming. It\'ll turn your head, but the rest of your body will follow.

Angus Smith, General Manager of Multimatic Niche Vehicles, North America, said "The next chapter in the Ford GT story allows us to fully demonstrate our mastery in both the art and science of carbon fibre craftsmanship and finishing."

He added, "The results of this ongoing partnership between Multimatic and Ford Performance speak for themselves, as each visually stunning and unique Liquid Carbon GT is a manufacturing marvel, showcasing the characteristics and nuances inherent in carbon fibre composites."

You may have already guessed by now that the 2020 Ford GT Heritage edition pays homage to one of Ford\'s iconic wins in motorsport history - the 1969 Le Mans victory.

Sporting the same colours and racing number as the Gulf GT40 that took home first place in the Le Mans endurance race of 1969, the 2020 Ford GT Heritage is in most ways the revival of the winning racecar.

The racing livery has been tastefully restyled to modernise the design without losing any familiarisation to the event that continued to prove Ford\'s position within the world of motorsport. Minor redesign includes the black pinstripe separation of the famous blue and orange colour combo for example.

He added, "The black pinstripe and carbon fibre wheels have been highly requested with the Gulf livery, so we committed to making that happen."
