the new Ford Mustang in action
The Ford Mustang has always been received as dynamic and powerful. The brand new Mustang is no exception! The 2016 model sees improvements in handling with an independent rear suspension for the first time. Smart technology enhances your time spent behind the wheel with precision handling and ultra-responsive steering. The Electric Power-Assisted Steering is automatic and only operates when required, providing lighter steering with ease when parking and firmer steering for ultimate control when on the motorway.
For further refinement, there are four different drive modes to choose from - normal, sport, track and snow/wet. Providing precision in wheel control and sensitivity in steering feedback maximising comfort.
The new Mustang brings choice of two engines;
Delivering power of 418 PS with 524 Nm of torque. As you'll discover when accelerating and experiencing the distinctive and renowned engine growl. The launch control system, part of Ford's 'Track Apps' helps you get the most out of your car on a circuit, holding engine revs and minimising spinning of the rear wheels. Not to mention that the V8 engine is capable of getting from 0-62mph in just 4.8 seconds!
A more unusual choice is the twin-turbo 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine, the revolutionary technology provides direct fuel injection, twin independent variable camshaft timing and turbocharging. With a result of 314 PS, 434 Nm of torque and CO2 emissions as low as 179 g/km. The EcoBoost engine also cuts over 100kg of weight from the car, resulting in a lighter front-end that maximises grain in steering ability. Although slightly less powerful, the engine can still reach 0-62mph in an impressive 5.8 seconds.
Available as either a Getrag six-speed manual or for an extra £1,500 the SelectShi automatic, with steering wheel-mounted Paddle Shifters as an additional option. The new Ford Mustang is built to provide no compromise performance and engineered to ensure the power is delivered with maximum efficiency.

The cockpit inspired interior remains just as impressive with an aluminium brushed high-set dash, watch-face analogue and precision digital displays. The fold-flat seats create more luggage room and a reasonably spacious back. A variety of interior and trim options are also offered, including Recaro Sports Seats and Leather upholstery.
Lower and wider than its predecessor, the 2016 Mustang still retains the classic characteristics, with ten colours to choose from. All models include 19-inch wheels, a performance brake package, automatic HID xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps and a rear diffuser.
The Mustang is refinement and performance personified, and you'll be pleased to know that it doesn't lack in technology either. Other standard features include;
