We have four locations, all housing multiple different dealerships so you can apply for a job or apprenticeship with us at a location that suits you best!
Sandicliffe is rich with history, with the company being founded in 1948! Founders Richard Woodhouse and Henry Barton bought a small petrol station and workshop premises in Stapleford, Nottingham. The company name literally came from the 'sandy cliff' that still stands behind the Stapleford garage to this day. Little did Richard Woodhouse and Henry Barton know that over seventy years later, their small business would have grown into one of the largest and most trusted motor retailers in the East Midlands.
In just more than seven decades, Sandicliffe have grown from a simple petrol station to one of the region’s leading motor specialists. Now, if you ask anyone in the East Midlands to name someone who sells new cars, one in three people will say ‘Sandicliffe’, this is testament to the vision of the company’s founders and the appreciated loyalty of drivers in the region. For years, we have been known as the ‘East Midlands’ great motoring family’. Despite our expansion, we remain a family-run business with the values of integrity and honesty at its core, making us one proud company.

Employee well being
Our employee wellbeing is important to us. We partner with BEN the automotive charity and regularly take part in charity events across the sites to raise money for them. Ben has helped our employees with medical equipment, food shops, financial advice and counselling over the years. In addition to this we have an employee well being centre that focusses on healthy eating, exercise, financial and emotional wellbeing.

At Sandicliffe we pride ourselves on our inclusive environment. Our strategy is to improve diversity within the motor sector, and we want all backgrounds and abilities to know they are welcomed and supported within our teams.
At Sandicliffe we know the importance of listening to our employees. We carry out an engagement survey periodically to get feedback from employees on what is working well and how we can improve. All the feedback is reviewed centrally to make positive changes, where possible, to our employees’ day to day work life.
