Race Team Alfie: Raising Money for CLIC Sargent

Wollaton Park in Nottingham was filled with supporters of 'Team Alfie' on 13th Sept. for a 5m race and 2km fun run, all in aid of the CLIC Sargent charity.

On Sunday 13th September family, friends and supporters of ‘Team Alfie’ gathered in Wollaton Park, Nottingham to participate in a 5 mile race and a 2km fun run to raise money for CLIC Sargent, the UK-wide children’s cancer charity.

With many of Alfie’s family and friends, plus a team from Sandicliffe donning their running shoes – some even in fancy dress – the event was a great success. The support team handed out bottles of water and cheered the runners on around the course and at the finish line.

Whilst the event was a great deal of fun, the most important motivation behind it was to raise as much money as possible for CLIC Sargent. The children’s cancer charity is very close to the heart of race organiser, Jane Millichip Scattergood.
