What car would we choose for the GBBO finalists?

We can’t lie. We’re already missing the Great British Bake Off. From Noel’s jokes to Paul Hollywood’s handshakes, we all love the GBBO. Tuesday nights aren’t the same without offering baking advice to the contestants through the telly whilst having no baking experience.

To make the GBBO feeling last a little longer, we decided to take the 3 finalists and discuss which car we’d give them if they came into our dealerships.

Chigs

Chigs is from Leicester, and is relatively new to the baking world, having started during the 2020 pandemic, much like the rest of us. (Banana bread anyone?)

Chigs is a self-confessed adrenaline junkie and loves a challenge. This thrill seeker enjoys bouldering, sky diving and trekking but has a softer side, when he’s not baking or sky diving, he loves spending time with his nephews.

So, which car would we offer him?

We definitely think Chigs would LOVE the Ford Mustang Mach-E. With an impressive 0-60mph time of 3.7 seconds, and an extraordinary 480bhp it offers the adrenaline rush that Chigs would definitely appreciate. But the Ford Mustang Mach-E isn’t just thrill seeking, it’s capable of carrying 5 adults in comfort and offers a 402 litre boot space, ideal for taking his nephews out for the day!

Guiseppe

Giuseppe hails from Italy and is a quintessential family man with three sons. A self-confessed food snob, Giuseppe frowns on mass produced confectionary, instead he feeds his boys home made bakes.

Giuseppe became well known for his meticulous precision in his bakes, which he credited to his engineering background.

We’d match Giuseppe up with the Mazda MX-30. A refined SUV crossover that has room to spare for him and his family. What we really think Giuseppe would appreciate is the attention to detail that Mazda’s KODO design offers, the interior is incredibly functional, right down to the glovebox being designed to perfectly fit a 10inch tablet. But it’s not just the interior that we think Giuseppe would appreciate. The overall refinement – reduced noise, high tech ride quality as well as precision engineered steering and handling would be enough to impress a perfectionist like Guiseppe.

Crystelle

Crystelle is a baker that brings a beautifully diverse heritage to her dishes, her signature bakes include an infusion of spices from her travels around the world. A fougasse infused with turmeric, curry powder and spring onion is a firm favourite of Crystelle.

Over lockdown Crystelle kept busy singing along with her online choir.

This might have just been the easiest match of the blog. Crystelle and the Nissan Qashqai go together like jam and toast. Crystelle loves using a hybrid of spices and more traditional dishes to create something spectacular, and the Qashqai’s mild hybrid technology would definitely appeal to her. But that’s not the only reason, the audio system would definitely impress Crystelle! With 10 speakers, as well as Bose’s Acousticmass® bass box Crystelle could sing her heart out whether it was along to the DAB radio or streamed from her phone using the integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

They’re our choices for the final three, and we think they’d love their cars, do you agree? We’d love to hear your ideas and choices for the contestants! Let us know in the comment section!
