When you pay a visit to one of our ŠKODA Service centres, our ŠKODA-trained technicians can inspect, repair and replace a wide range of vehicle components, including your tyres. To make sure you get excellent value for money, you can opt for an initial Visual Health Check to identify if any tyre work needs doing. This VHC is completely free of charge.
If the VHC highlights issues with your car’s tyres, we offer competitively priced and ŠKODA-approved repair and replacement services to get them in shape again. Our ŠKODA-trained technicians only use genuine manufacturer tyres and components to complete any service work, so you can be assured of high quality with every visit.
During the tyre check, we will cover tyre depth, pressure and general working condition before charging for any further improvements. All necessary costs will be outlined for you in a report, along with friendly, honest advice from our team. Our aim is to get you and your ŠKODA back on the road safely.
The quality of your tyres has a direct effect on the handling of your ŠKODA. For this reason, there are legal requirements that tyres must meet. Failing to do so could result in a £2,500 fine and three penalty points on your license.
This is one of the reasons why it’s so important to come to our ŠKODA Service centre if you notice a problem with your car’s tyres. We have sites based in Leicester and Daybrook, so you’re never too far away from a solution in the East Midlands.
Over or underinflation - If a tyre is over or under inflated this could cause wear or increase fuel consumption.
Minimum tread depth - The legal minimum tread depth for cars in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three quarters of the tyre around its entire circumference.
Tyre replacement - We recommend that you replace your tyres before the legal limit is reached at around 78% worn, as tread depth significantly affects braking distance.
