“A sleek fusion of bold style, heart-pounding performance, and advanced technology, the all-new 2016 Optima confidently pushes the boundaries of the midsize sedan, with plenty of attitude to spare.”
After its debut at the Frankfurt Motorshow in September the anticipation is ever growing for the All New Kia Optima.
So what can we expect from this new Kia model? Well a high class interior, changes to the chassis and all new technology to name a few.
First impressions may have suggested a facelift model but Kia have overlooked this and specified this is not the case as the exterior design is all-new.
The new Optima is larger, having 10mm added to the height and wheelbase of the car and an extra 25mm across the width.
Building on the already great strengths of the previous model, the all new Optima has a more muscular front bumper encasing wraparound headlights, small changes to the bumper and a more sculpted rear LED light design give the rear of the car a fresh look too.
The interior is where you really see the difference in this new model. Redesigned seats mean passengers get to enjoy 25mm more legroom, as well as head and shoulder room also being improved slightly to give a feeling of all round space. Rear passengers also receive pull up sun shades and a separate heater.
When it comes to technology, the Optima has been blessed. The 8” touchscreen is brand new and feature’s Kia’s real-time connected services. The dash has been completely redesigned to house an upper display zone and a lower control zone.
Housing the same diesel engine as before, the 1.7 is said to have been improved with cleaner revs and lower emissions. A petrol option is not expected to make it to the UK.Register Your Interest
