REDEFINING THE SUPERCAR

After nearly a decade Ford announced that they will return to Le Mans in 2016 with a new supercar. The new GT will also commemorate the original GT40 Le Mans racer’s famous 1-2-3 finish in 1966 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ford GT racing cars. Set to debut in late 2016, the Ford GT is set to make a mark with its innovative lightweight carbon fibre construction and 600bhp engine!

Ford’s Ecoboost engines have become a staple in the development of their future vehicles, including the new Mustang. It is hardly a surprise then that the GT will feature a twin-turbocharged Ecoboost V6 engine with 600 bhp! A serious step forward for the Ecoboost engine range and for Ford.

The new ford GT was designed by a small dedicated team who worked in a separate location to the Ford Design Centre to ensure that the project was kept top secret. The low stance is a renowned trademark of previous GT models.

The striking design was at the forefront of the Ford GT proposal with its aerodynamic lightweight carbon fibre and aluminium body improving acceleration and performance with efficiency.

The cockpit inspired interior along with the F1 style steeing wheel bring utilities to your fingertips ensuring you control and feel the power of the V6 engine.

The wide front pays homage to the classic Ford GT40 whilst being carefully adapted to ensure that it still embodies a recognisable and modern style.
