As an approved, long-standing Ford dealership, the team at Sandicliffe are excited about the impending launch of the new Ford Fiesta ST200. The revamped version of the previous Ford Fiesta ST model delivers an extra kick of hot hatch power – 10% more to be precise. It also boasts 290NM of torque and 0.2 seconds faster acceleration.

Ford Fiesta ST200 Overview

Although it doesn’t have the same dominating presence as the Ford Focus RS, the Ford Fiesta ST200 is definitely built for a challenge. It’s the most powerful Fiesta to-date, with a 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engine that delivers 197bhp (almost 200, hence the new name) and 214lb-ft. of torque. This figure is ramped up even further to 212bhp and 236lb-ft. for up to 15 seconds using transient overboost. This makes the ST200 slightly faster than the previous model; hitting 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 143mph.

To provide extra thrills on road and track, the Ford Fiesta ST200 also boasts 20% higher torque than before and – according to Ford – improved gear performance, so you can rapidly switch up through its six-gears. Adding to that, the ST200 will include a torque vectoring system, 3-mode stability control, more responsive steering and lowered suspension with advanced damper settings.

The previous Ford Fiesta ST can be modified with the Mountune package to achieve similar numbers, but the ST200 remains superior with much more extensive built-in features.

Ford Fiesta ST200 Extra Features

The most striking features of the Ford Fiesta ST200 have to be its 17-inch matt black alloys, and edgy red detailing inside and out. The colours stand out in contrast to the exclusive Storm Grey exterior.

Although outside appearances aren’t a lot different from the previous Fiesta ST – other than the addition of a nicer trim - the interior evokes a sports car style, with unique partial leather Charcoal Recaro front seats, illuminated scuff plates and fine silver stitching on the seats and seatbelt.
