Ford Adds Luxury ST-Line X Vignale Trim To Puma Range, Plus New 7-Speed DC Auto

It wasn’t enough that Ford’s latest crossover went on to win this year’s What Car? Car of the Year 2020 award, but the New Ford Puma is also determined on winning over those looking to buy a luxury vehicle in 2020.

Since its release last year, the New Ford Puma has been recognised as a car developed to elevate your driving experience through cleverly designed utility and advanced technology, it quickly became the 'it' new urban crossover and easily swayed many heads of car enthusiasts all over the world. But as of today, it got even better…

The Blue Oval manufacturer has introduced a new range-topping trim level – the Ford Puma ST-Line X Vignale – which arrives on sale in the UK. Ford has even gone and added a new 7-Speed dual-clutch auto transmission to the range.

Before this, customers could drive away the First Edition Puma in Titanium, ST-Line X and ST Line X Plus trims, but now the New Ford Puma range is topped by the Ford Puma ST-Line X Vignale. But what exactly is the Ford Puma ST-Line X Vignale and why should you consider it over any other Puma spec?

Respectively, the new model is a hearty combination of the brand’s sporty ST-Line trim and their high-end Vignale range which has been fused together to create a driving experience so desirable, you won’t be able to say no.

The new Puma ST-Line X Vignale sits on unique 18-inch alloys with a complementing signature Satin Chrome & Black grille and body-coloured bumpers. Inside you’ll find a full leather deluxe interior made from Windsor Leather upholstery matched with heated front seats, a wrapped instrument cluster, a heated steering wheel and a keyless start.

But what if you don’t want the range-topping Puma? What if you’ve already got your eyes set on a different trim? Well, we’ve still got some exciting news for you… Along with Puma’s new model launch, Ford has also introduced the arrival of a 7-Speed dual-clutch auto transmission box now available to order with the 1-litre 123bhp EcoBoost.

The new 7-Speed DC Auto setup claims to increase fuel efficiency and offers 45.6mpg with an emissions figure of 139g/km. Ford has said the choice to add this new transmission was to improve efficiency and refinement and to maximise driving pleasure from the very get go.

What’s more, Roelant de Waard, who is Vice President of Marketing, Sales & Service for Ford of Europe as well as recently appointed General Manager for Passenger Vehicles, has commented on the flagship's future plans of there being an ST variant of the Puma range:

“Customers have told us that they want a range of options to help find a combination of style, equipment, performance and efficiency that’s just right for them. That’s something we committed to delivering with Puma, and with a new Puma ST coming later this year, we’re not finished yet.”

The New Ford Puma ST-Line X Vignale starts from £25,240 and is available to pre-order at your nearest Sandicliffe Ford dealership today.
