Sandicliffe Motor Group in Nottingham is offering three Nottingham Evening Post readers the chance to win a free eco-health check for your car including free emission testing, which will improve a car’s levels by cleaning the fuel system, and a full valet, in response to the Department of Transport’s act on co2 campaign.

Prizes are available at Sandicliffe on Nottingham Road, New Basford. Sandicliffe-Trent Bridge on Loughborough Road in West Bridgford and Sandicliffe Ford on Nottingham Road in Stapleford.

In addition, Sandicliffe is keen to be green by sponsoring and planting a tree in the National Forest in Rosliston for every new car they sell to help neutralise the CO² generated. All new cars across all the dealerships are displayed with an eco-efficiency rating to help customers understand how their vehicle will impact on the environment and spans its ten-strong network of Ford, Mazda, Chevrolet, Suzuki and Kia dealerships.

The ‘Eco-Drive’ campaign has also introduced a range of initiatives designed to minimise the environmental impact of the retailers own servicing and business operations as well as encouraging customers to become more energy efficient in their car buying and motoring habits.

Reg Tutt, Managing Director of Sandicliffe Motors said: “Choosing a car is one of the most environmentally-sensitive decisions you can make and as such there’s a real need for car retailers to help buyers make more informed choices about the impact of their vehicle. Sandicliffe already retails a wide range of economy models with 88% per cent of our leading cars already in the top efficiency bracket. As such we hope to lead by example and encourage other retailers to review their own practices.”

The Motor Group is also focused on improving its own operations and is working with the Carbon Trust to identify new eco-friendly procedures.
