Workshop Controller (Melton Mowbray)

Ideally you will have the relevant knowledge and possess good people skills. You must be highly motivated, whilst maintaining an excellent standard of customer care. The successful candidate will have an after sales background either through front end or mechanical. The ability to consistently hit daily targets and work under pressure is paramount. This position involves the allocating of work to the technicians in order to gain the best technician utilisation and productivity as possible.

The successful candidate will have the ability to liaise with customers to gain authority for extra work and also to inform them when cars are not going to be ready on time.A full understanding of manufacturer warranty procedures is required as the successful candidate will authorise all warranty repairs for the technicians in line with the relevant manufacturer guidelines.

This role is crucial to the success of the department and is pivotal in achieving Manufacturer CSI standards. IT skills would be an advantage and you must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in the written format with both customers and other employees.
